Carol's Pet Grooming has been a
business with a business here at Wayside Animal Hospital since
1984. Carol, an Auburn University alumnus, found that the skill and
art of pet styling was a great way to work and be a mom,
too!
Just as with people, being clean and well
groomed contributes to the overall health and well being of our
furry family members. If any problems or potential problems are
observed during grooming, owners are made aware of them or referred
to the veterinarian for further evaluation.
Carol encourages the adpotion of new
family members through animal shelters or pet rescue services.
Smokey Joe, who lived to be about nineteen years old, was adopted
from the Lake Martin Animal Shelter. Throughout his long, well
loved life, he visited alzheimer's patients in nursing homes as
well as helped educate many children in the Tallapoosa County
area about animal welfare and well being. He is often
remembered for sporting his orange and blue colors!
Carol, her husband Bob, and daughter
Emily live on their farm in Notasulga. She is active in
the Alabama Cattlemen's and Cattlewomen's Associations and has
served on the board of the Lake Martin Area Boys and
Girls Club. Carol's Pet Grooming is also a member of
the Alex City Chamber of Commerce
